When we were kids,
We used to dream.
Now as we get older,
We can’t even scream.
Life unfolds before our eyes,
Each step a twist, each turn a surprise.
Complications set in, as we get older,
We settle in and just try to be stronger.
Each of us has stories to tell,
Secrets to reveal, tears to shed.
But life doesn’t give us the time,
To sit back and reflect, and create a rhyme.
But still we move on and we strive,
To hold our own in adversities and also to thrive.
We try to learn and grow, and find our way,
As we navigate through life’s maze, every single day.
