SEEKING CREDENCE

(Part 3)

When he searched,

He searched for a friend;

One who could take away the strife,

And give means to the end.

When he looked,

He looked for a saviour;

One who was braver than him,

And in wisdom far superior.

But when you cast a net,

Over a dry pond;

You won’t get a fish,

You will only get some mud.

The people he was searching for,

Weren’t there at the time;

So he went ahead and searched,

In people that didn’t really chime.

Getting desperate,

He tried doing something silly;

But he held himself back,

Knowing he wasn’t doing justice to himself, surely.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.
