RETICENCE

(Part 4)

Whenever he tried,

His mind simulated disaster;

Whenever he tried,

His heart felt like a fish’s out of water.

Whenever he tried,

His body started trembling;

For he didn’t know,

How all the heads were turning.

The meditative eyes,

The intuitive mind;

Always stopped him,

From telling the one thing.

He wanted to tell his tale,

But he wasn’t sure;

If anyone would listen,

Or would they even care.

There was a time,

When everything fell in rhyme;

He was supposed to be feeble and weak,

But he always came back with a smile on his cheek.

But life is never that kind,

For it tested him with rigorous grind;

But with every strife that life threw,

He managed to stand firm, and with it, he grew.

Going up is easy in life,

And I don’t think it matters;

How you get up counts,

After being in tatters.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.
