NASCENCY

(Part 1)

Back in the day,

There was a place;

The grass was greener there,

Slow was the pace.

One fine day,

The doctors came running;

A kid was born,

Seemed weak, he was always crying.

The parents were happy,

For they wanted a boy;

Not because they didn’t want a girl,

They already had that joy.

From day one,

He had a feeble body;

Not something that changed over time,

He always seemed a bit skinny.

Over time,

They found something unexpected;

The kid was good at some things,

And they didn’t take it for granted.

Even though he fell ill,

Almost all the time;

They took care of him through thick and thin,

And helped him shine.
