FINDING SOLACE

(Part 5)

Going through life,

He hit some crest;

Happy and proud,

He puffed his chest.

—

Then came the trough,

And he wasn’t ready;

Wasn’t very sure,

How to deal with it really.

—

In the midst of chaos,

He was feeling lonely;

Trying to find an ounce of lift,

He was failing dearly.

—

Then came the epiphany,

And something happened;

He found something in himself,

That he didn’t know existed.

—

With a new outlook,

He took a positive route;

Just scratching the surface,

Wasn’t helping him win the bout.

—

He tried to find his life’s purpose,

And started failing;

But still, he tried,

Becoming stronger every morning.

—

Over time he knew,

How special was life;

We live for such a little time,

We should love and smile.
